De Hollandsche Yssel double walled dredge pumps are of modern design and made of the best quality wear-resistant material. All parts, susceptible to wear, are manufactured from high-chrome alloy of the best quality or an excellent Nihard IV quality with a hardness of 550 HB. All parts manufactured with minimum tolerances and are interchangeable. The impeller is treaded on the trapezoid thread on the pump shaft and a three-partied ring enables easy dismounting of the impeller. The double walled version makes a complete wear possible whilst a safe use of the shell is guaranteed.

Moreover, compared to competitor’s single walled pumps the safety of the ship and its personnel in case of a breaking single walled pump shell is not in danger.

Shaft sealing arrangement can be executed in many different options. The older system using a stuffing box with flushing gland-water and grease lubrication nowadays is often changed by the modern, newly developed mechanical seal. This leak-free mechanical seal using Silica Carbide rings in a stainless steel housing does not need gland water neither grease lubrication. This makes it an environmentally friendly and maintenance free pump seal.

De Hollandsche Yssel double walled dredge pumps are available for suction pipes 8” – 10” – 12” – 14” – 16” – 18” – 20” and 24”, so from 200mm up to 600mm.

The engineers of the company can assist in the selection of dredge pump type and size, diesel engine, gearbox, electric motor drive etc. Also production calculations for various types of soil on variable discharge distances can be made. For pumping distances over 2,000 – 3,000 meter, pipe line resistance and production calculations with one ore more booster stations can be made.
